FEAST OF TABERNACLES
THE FIRST DAY IS AN HOLY CONVOCATION
What the LORD commanded His people to do
Leviticus 23:34–43 commands the LORD’s people to keep the Feast of Tabernacles seven days unto the LORD. The first day is an holy convocation. They were to rejoice before the LORD, dwell in booths, and teach their generations to remember how the LORD brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and made them to dwell in booths.
“Ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.” Leviticus 23:40 KJV
It is a time of holy gathering, remembrance, thanksgiving and rejoicing before the LORD for His deliverance and provision.
Rejoice before the LORD
Gather in holy convocation. Remember His deliverance and provision. Rejoice, give thanks, read His Word, pray and worship, looking unto the Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember the Sabbath day
The Seventh-Day Sabbath
Created and blessed by God
“And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it…” Genesis 2:3 KJV
The Sabbath began at creation. God rested on the seventh day, blessed it and set it apart.
Jesus Christ is Lord of the Sabbath
“Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.” Mark 2:28 KJV
Keeping the Sabbath cannot purchase salvation. We are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; obedience follows salvation.

The Feasts of the LORD
“Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.” Leviticus 23:2 KJV

S is for Sunshine Receive God's created light
“Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:” Ecclesiastes 11:7 KJV
“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings…” Malachi 4:2 KJV
God created light before mankind: “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” — Genesis 1:3 KJV. Sunlight is part of the created environment in which God placed humanity. Spend appropriate time outdoors in daylight, while remembering the greater spiritual truth declared by Jesus: “I am the light of the world…” — John 8:12 KJV.
T is for Trust and Obey the Lord Jesus Christ Faith that follows the Lord
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 KJV
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15 KJV
Trust the LORD and acknowledge Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:5–6). We do not obey Christ to purchase salvation: salvation is by grace through faith, not works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Obedience is the response of a life that belongs to Him. Jesus asked, “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” — Luke 6:46 KJV.
A is for Always Move Use the body God has given you
“And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” Genesis 2:15 KJV
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things…” 1 Timothy 4:8 KJV
Humanity's original environment included meaningful physical activity. Walking, gardening, household work, stretching and appropriate exercise are practical ways of caring for the body. Bodily exercise has value, while Scripture reminds us that godliness has the greater and enduring value.
R is for Rest on the 7th Day Sabbath Remember the Sabbath day
“And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it…” Genesis 2:3 KJV
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.” Exodus 20:8 KJV
God established a rhythm of work and rest from Creation. “But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God…” — Exodus 20:10 KJV. Jesus said, “The sabbath was made for man…” — Mark 2:27 KJV, and He is “Lord even of the sabbath day” — Matthew 12:8 KJV. Set apart the seventh-day Sabbath for the Lord.
T is for Temperance Everything in proper moderation
“And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.” 1 Corinthians 9:25 KJV
“Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee…” Proverbs 25:16 KJV
Biblical temperance means self-control: moderation in what is good and abstinence from what God forbids. Something forbidden does not become permissible merely because it is used “in moderation.” Paul wrote, “…I will not be brought under the power of any.” — 1 Corinthians 6:12 KJV.
N is for Nutritious Food Let God define what may be eaten
“To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.” Leviticus 11:47 KJV
Land animals: “Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.” — Leviticus 11:3 KJV. Concerning swine, God says, “…he is unclean to you” and “Of their flesh shall ye not eat” — Leviticus 11:7–8 KJV.
Water creatures: “Whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters… them shall ye eat.” — Leviticus 11:9 KJV.
“Ye shall not make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.” Leviticus 11:43 KJV
God immediately connects this distinction with sanctification and holiness in Leviticus 11:44. Being created by God does not automatically mean a creature was designated as food. Let God's Word—not appetite—define what may be eaten, receive His provision with thanksgiving, and practice temperance.
O is for Oxygen-Rich Air Remember the Giver of every breath
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life…” Genesis 2:7 KJV
“Seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;” Acts 17:25 KJV
Every breath reminds us that life comes from God. Scripture does not prescribe a modern “oxygen-rich-air regimen,” but seeking fresh air, good ventilation and avoiding unnecessary smoke and pollutants are reasonable applications of caring for the body. “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.” — Psalm 150:6 KJV.
W is for Water That Is Clean Physical water and the Living Water
“He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.” Psalm 104:10 KJV
“If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” John 7:37 KJV
Clean drinking water is a basic physical need. God provided water for Israel in the wilderness (Exodus 17:6). Physical thirst also points us to Christ. Jesus said, “He that believeth on me… out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” — John 7:38 KJV; John 7:39 explains that He spoke of the Spirit.
The purpose
Glorify God in your body
These principles are not a means of earning salvation. They are a response of stewardship and obedience to the God who created and redeemed us.
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you… and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 KJV

THE WARRIOR WHO SHOCKED THE WORLD (2026) — The Book of JOSHUA
About the Book of Joshua: Joshua records Israel’s entrance into the Promised Land under Joshua’s leadership after Moses. The LORD calls His people to courage, obedience and faith in His Word, gives them victory over their enemies, divides the inheritance among the tribes, and calls Israel to covenant faithfulness. Joshua also points forward to the Lord Jesus Christ: Joshua’s name carries the sense of “the LORD saves,” while Jesus is the perfect Saviour who brings His people into the greater promised rest. Joshua led Israel into an earthly inheritance; Jesus Christ brings believers into the spiritual and eternal inheritance God has prepared for them. The scarlet cord that marked Rahab’s house also provides a vivid picture of deliverance through faith, pointing Christians to salvation through the blood of Christ.
About the Book of Judges: Judges follows Joshua and shows what happened when Israel repeatedly turned from the LORD. The book traces a recurring cycle: Israel forsakes God, comes under oppression, cries unto the LORD, and God raises a judge to deliver them. Yet each deliverance is temporary, and the spiritual condition of the nation declines. Judges therefore exposes both the seriousness of sin and the mercy of God toward people who call upon Him. Its closing refrain—“every man did that which was right in his own eyes”—shows Israel’s need for a righteous King. Christians can see this as pointing beyond the imperfect judges to the Lord Jesus Christ, the perfect Deliverer and King. Judges also portrays divine judgment against persistent rebellion: God is merciful and repeatedly delivers, but He is also holy and does not treat idolatry and unrepentant sin as harmless. In the New Testament, these themes meet in Christ: salvation and mercy are offered through Him, while final righteous judgment is entrusted to Him.
About the Book of Proverbs: Proverbs teaches the wisdom of living in the fear of the LORD. It contrasts wisdom with folly and applies God’s truth to speech, work, money, relationships, family, justice, self-control and the choices of everyday life. Its wisdom is not merely cleverness: true wisdom begins by knowing and reverencing God. Proverbs repeatedly personifies Wisdom as calling people away from destruction and into life. Christians can see the book’s wisdom theme reaching its fullness in the Lord Jesus Christ. The New Testament calls Christ “the wisdom of God” and says that in Him “are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Jesus does not merely teach perfect wisdom; He embodies God’s wisdom perfectly. Where Proverbs calls a son to hear wisdom, reject the path of sinners and walk in righteousness, Christ is the perfectly obedient Son and the One who calls His disciples to follow Him in the way of truth and life. Proverbs therefore prepares the reader to value divine wisdom above human understanding and ultimately to look to Christ, in whom God’s wisdom is fully revealed.
About this study: This video explores recurring connections between the Old and New Testaments and the way earlier biblical events can prepare the reader to understand Jesus Christ. Among the themes it examines are Jacob’s vision connecting heaven and earth, Isaac and the promised sacrifice, Melchizedek’s priesthood, the bronze serpent, the cities of refuge, Noah’s ark, and other patterns of deliverance, sacrifice, priesthood and judgment. Christians should test every proposed parallel by Scripture, but the central biblical theme is clear: the Old Testament repeatedly prepares the way for Christ. Jesus identifies Himself as the true meeting place between heaven and earth; the New Testament presents Him as the great High Priest, the One lifted up for salvation, and the refuge of those who trust in Him. These patterns therefore help show the unity of Scripture: God’s saving purpose unfolds across the Bible and reaches its fulfilment in the Lord Jesus Christ.
